Here’s another instalment of the photo of the week segment. This photo is personal favourite of mine, it’s the photo that lead me to Adam Barker.
My thoughts: Just look at it. It’s an amazing capture, sharp and well lit. I have no information on how it was shot (maybe Adam will fill us in), what I can tell you is it was shot with a Canon 1D MKIII, 70-200 2.8 IS at 115mm, 1/2000 sec, ISO 400 and f/4.5. Another thing I just noticed is Adam has managed to avoid his own reflection in the skiers goggles.
What do you think of it? Is it natural light?
I’d like to point out something I found on Adam’s blog. He has an instructional DVD that is also available as a digital download (for impatient people like me). The dvd is called Complementing your Outdoor Photography with Landscape filters. Anyone who is interested in landscape photography or if your like me and completely useless at landscape photography I think it would be a smart purchase.
