If there was every an award for the worst implementation of the mirrorless camera revolution both Nikon and Canon would be fighting it out. Moving on from that it seems Canon will be releasing another EOS-M next year.
Faked EOS-M with built-in EVF via dpreview forum. This is not what the camera will look like.
Back when the EOS-M was launched Canon famously said there was no need for a mirrorless camera to have an electronic viewfinder. Turns out Canon simply didn’t have the tech to offer an electronic viewfinder for the EOS-M.
Canon is developing a new EOS-M to be released in the second half of 2013 that will have an EVF inbuilt. It will look much like the current EOS-M however it will have an EVF in the corner like the FujiFilm X-E! and the Sony NEX-6. Unfortunately it won’t be a hybrid OVF/EVF but at least it’s some kind of view finder.
Out of curiosity, do you know of anyone that has the EOS-M or do you have one?
