When I woke up this morning and picked up my iPhone to check the going’s on from last night on RAW Live and any emails and messages that required urgent replies I noticed my little app store icon had an update.
Turns out it was Instagram. I thought It would just be a bug fix like usual, but it wasn’t until I fired up Instagram some hours later that I realised it was actually a proper update. Instagram got a new camera, well camera interface anyway.
Apart from the new interface we also got a new filter called “Willow”. The one thing that I have noticed that is missing the ability to delete a photo that you’ve just taken. That was a feature that I really liked on the iPhone version of Instagram. The blur has also changed, you no longer get a drop down list to choose our of either circle or horizontal. You know have to keep tapping until the right one comes up. The blur quality seems to have had a bit of an update and is a lot better.
For the social sharers out there Foursquare has been added. There is also a pretty cool shortcut to get straight into your camera roll by holding down the camera button. Most of the other changes cosmetic.
It is not without its problems though. Check out the video below to see it in action and some of the bugs that have been found.
