Lomography 35mm Film Scanning for your Smartphone

This is actually pretty useful. Lomography have released a new Kickstarter project which seems to have some decent support behind it. It’s a simple product really a film scanner that works with your smart phone, just think of the applications.

Let’s take for example, myself, I go away on holidays taking my Fed 5 to shoot some street photography. It’s a long trip and I end up shooting a few rolls of film. It’s not that hard to find someone who can develop them for me but the scanning costs are through the roof and I want to share a few with the RAW community . Insteps Lomography and their new film scanner.

Using my iPhone I would be able to scan the rolls and edit them and then share the best ones.

The Smartphones it will be compatible with are those that work with the LomoKino Smart Phone Holder, from what I understand that is pretty much every smartphone on the market.

The Lomography Film Scanner is currently sitting at $45,437 pledged with a goal of $50,000 so if you want to see this project come to life, head over to the Kickstarter project page and pledge some coin.
