With video being all the rage on the Internet photographers have looked at ways of sharing their work in video format. With the Ken Burns effect being done to death sideshow apps like FotoMagico 4 have taken up the job of providing an easy way of creating visually stunning videos.
If you like me you probably haven’t looked into slide shows too much. When I think of a slide show I think of those terrible power point presentations. This is not the case, slide shows have come along way over the years and FotoMagico 4 has some absolutely amazing features, that make sideshows look beautiful.
FotoMagico 4 is an extremely simple to use Slide show creation app that unfortunately only works on Apple. I doesn’t matter if your into portrait photography, landscape photography, wedding photography, you get the idea. The possibilities of FotoMagico 4 should get your excited.
As I mentioned above its super easy to use, which is perfect, aren’t we all time poor or is that just me?
When you first open up FotoMagico 4 you are presented with a demo slide show, showing you all the things that can be achieved.
Looks pretty good doesn’t it. The beauty about it is that it’s a FotoMagico file not exported out into a video so if you notice something that you like you can check out the storyboard and workout how it was done.

I’ve never used earlier versions of FotoMagico however from what I read it’s a huge improvement. I think my favourite feature in FotoMagico 4 is Audio Marker. What it does is allow the each individual lengths of slides to automatically sync up and adjust to markers placed on the audio track. I spend lots and lots of time syncing audio up with my timelapse movies, it’s a pain but properly synced audio can make all the difference. So it’s nice to see that this can easily do this for you automatically, not more time wasted extending the length of a slide to get it right.
As you would expect you can easily import photos, videos and music using iMedia. If you have your files stored somewhere else it’s easy to link this folder up so you can easily add files directly from within the application.
There are plenty of things in FotoMagico 4 to keep you entertained and easily produce a professionally looking slide show. It really does take slide shows to the next level. If I like it so much where is my slide show you ask, well I’m in the process of making it now. There are a few photos that I want to put in that I can’t release just yet so it will just have to wait but I can assure you I’ll share it with you all very soon.
Want to try it out for yourself, head over to the FotoMagico 4 website, have a look at some of the great user submitted examples and get yourself a trial license to play with it for free.
