Combining water guns and a Lens Baby Ben Von Wong has been able to simulate rain indoors with out the use of a high-tech rain rig. The beauty of this is that it can be done pretty much anywhere. So if your in a studio try it out one day.
Tips for shooting water and shooting with a Lens Baby
- Water is best lit from the sides. Obviously you’ll also want a dark background so the water droplets will show up better.
- When using a lens baby, unless your Iron Man, use tripod. The point of focus on a LensBaby is difficult enough to get with out factoring your movements.
- Try and keep your model still. If he/she rocks back and forth he/she might fall out of the focus plane.
