Rumors are flying around the interenet at the moment about a new camera out of Olympus an E-P5, which from what I read would be the flagship PEN camera sitting at the top of their list. The good news is it will feature a new retro design, however it won’t have a view finder and will have a relatively high price point.
E-P4 lost in action? Well sort of the last version or current version is the E-P3 and how Asian number superstitions work it’s pretty normal to see the PEN line jump from E-P3 to E-P5.
I’m not sure who originally reported this as I’ve see it so many times now but it’s design ques are tipped to follow something along the lines of the Olympus PEN F camera.
So far 43 Rumors is saying that the camera will be announced “Soon” and may be in stock around June/July 2013. It will lack an electronic viewfinder, but it may be packaged with a new external viewfinder with 2.44M dot resolution.
Word is it’s going to cost around $1k which is not cheap considering you can pick up an OMD kit for not much more.
