Lightroom 4 already allowed many photographers to do away with Photoshop. It seems Lightroom 5 will be continuing on this trend. The ability to paint using the healing brush is fantastic and much welcomed. One of the few reasons I found myself in Photoshop often.
Heres a few new features:
Advanced Healing Brush
Enhancements to the Spot Removal tool allow you to heal or clone using brush strokes. A new “Visualize Spots” tool highlights sensor dust spots for easy removal.
Apply any of Lightroom’s local adjustment attributes to a circular mask. The area of the mask can be resized, feathered or even inverted to give you maximum control over the focus of your images.
Automatically level horizons, straighten buildings, and correct other askew lines.
So what do you think? For those early adopters wanting to try it out you can download Lightroom 5 Beta here.
