This is pretty exciting. We know there is Photoshop Touch but now Adobe seems to be working on Lightroom for iOS. There are some major problems Adobe need to work on, Lightroom in its current form has the ability to make an average computer struggle.
Adobe believes it can get around this by creating some kind of cloud-connected version of Lightroom that’d let iOS users edit RAW files on the go. Tom Hogarty showed off an early version of the software running on his iPad2 during the latest episode of The Grid. Lightroom uses smart previews to show the users the changes they are making. The major computing is done server side. Sounds interesting yet it’s another move by Adobe pushing us into the cloud.
