Kodak’s run into the digital photography world was kind of a false start. They had a range of consumer point and shoot type cameras but they just failed to be able to capture any sort of market share. They are set to market a new micro four thirds camera and DC.fever posted some images and info about the new Kodak S1 MFT camera.
Word is that the camera will have built-in WiFi and an app for remote control, A tilt LCD, hoe shoe and two customisable buttons. It’s not known if the lenses in these images are just rebranded Olympus Zooms or if they are actually new Kodak lenses.
Let’s hope that Kodak manage to bring a real contender to the fairly well populated MFT market. If there are any members of the Kodak product development team reading this then please make sure your autofocus is fast and accurate, your user interface easy to use and customise and finally your low light performance outstanding. Don’t just release something for the hell of it.
