Sony have always done things a little different. I think the QX100 takes the “a bit different” statement to a whole new level. This kind of thing was tried by Ricoh with their modular GXR, but was it wasn’t the success they were hoping for so how will this strange device work for Sony?
I think Sony should be commended for the innovation. They are about to be the first out of the gates with a full frame interchangeable lens mirrorless camera which is generating a lot of buzz, but in the case of the QX100 it seemed like a good idea at the time but perhaps it doesn’t live up to the mark. It seems that the App is not great, in fact by the looks of things the App is a pain in the ass, limited features and constantly disconnecting would be enough to annoy most. While the image quality does look great the exposure seems a bit hit and miss and lets face it, it doesn’t look like the most comfortable thing to shoot with.
So what do you think?
