PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A SPECIAL WORKSHOP FOR THE NORTHAM CAMERA CLUB
Max Participants: 20
When: Saturday 25th of May
Time: 10:30am – 3:30pm
What the workshop will cover
This is the perfect beginners jump start into photo post processing. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t edited a photo in your life, the techniques and principles taught will set you on the right track for anything that you photograph.
We’ll first head out and capture some images. We’ll talk about what to look for, and what to capture so you have plenty of information to work with when you process your files.
We’ll head back to the Fitzgerald Hotel where I’ll show you a complete workflow for editing the shots we have taken. I’ll walk you through the steps as to how I go about picking which photos are worth editing and which aren’t.
We’ll then discuss software, what you can use and how it doesn’t matter if you are using Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP or whatever else.
We’ll start editing some photos with techniques including, contrast, sharpening, layers, masks, curves, blending, cloning, lens correction, chromatic aberration correction and noise reduction.
I’ll then switch over and edit a few photos on the iPad. It’s a slightly different workflow but the basic principles are the same.
I invite you all to bring your iPads or laptops so that you can edit some of your own photos along with working through some of the shots I took earlier in the day. If you’re bringing just a iPad and would like some app recommendations please don’t hesitate to ask .
I also would like to invite you to bring along any images you would like edited in front of the group for demonstration purposes.
Each participant will be able be given access to a free download of following video tutorials from RAW. valued at $98
