Have you ever wanted to shoot amazing images on the street, but struggle to find anything interesting or you struggle to overcome the fear of shooting on the streets? By the end of it you would have overcome your fear of shooting on the streets, you’ll have the techniques to capture that perfect moment and you’ll be seeing the world in a completely different way.
How to overcome the fear of shooting street photography
This is the most common problem new street photographers face. When you life that camera to your eye in the middle of a busy street it can feel like everyone’s eyes are focused on you and what you are doing. Sudden thoughts of “is this right”, “should I be doing this”, “am I weird” suddenly pop into your head. At the SHOOT STREET workshop you will learn practical techniques that will help you to overcome this fear.
What other participants have said about SHOOT STREET
I had so much fun on Sunday during this workshop. Tristan is just so experienced and approachable and really took the time to connect with each of us. Mona also took great care of us. We learned some valuable things and a good solid foundation of street photography which was brilliant. I highly recommend for anyone interested in Street Photography regardless of your level (I am an annoying noob) to give this workshop a go. (Laily Eager)
Thankyou so much to Tristan Jud and Mona Jud for the wonderful street photography workshop on Sunday. Your teaching style is perfectly suited to the subject matter and I appreciate how well you mixed up technical disciplines with approaches to creativity and creative thinking. I’d highly recommend the courses to photographers of all levels, especially if you’ve never tried candid street photography. Thanks very much and i look forward to being involved again in the near future!! (Scott Free)
I found both your “Introduction to Street Photography” and your one day “Shoot Street” workshop to be very informative and a lot of fun. You showed us how to be confident in using a camera in public places and how to use it so not to draw attention to yourself. Also your presentation on “Advanced Composition” applies to all area’s of photography and your workshop all goes towards increasing my photographic ability.
Thank-you. (Martin Carter)
My friend Bronwyn and I had a fantastic time at the Shoot Street workshop, and really enjoyed carrying out our missions! The topic I was given was ‘Through A Window’ and I was lucky enough to happen upon a bouncy castle at a street festival. It was a great day where all the attendees gave each other constructive feedback in the shots taken on the day. We also had a nice time with the lovely Tristan and Mona over a casual dinner during the optional night shoot. I am really looking forward to the Surrealism workshop! (Kylie Hildebrand)
I had a great time at the Street Photography Workshop, I learned a great deal about technique, and I now feel confident to get out there and shoot street! (Bronwyn Rennie)
Learn to see the world differently
Street Photography is all about the details. It’s about seeing a photo before it happens. During the SHOOT STREET workshop you’ll spend a lot of time out practicing the techniques and skills you’ve learnt. We spend a lot of time on more advanced composition techniques that are not only great for street photography but will also lend itself to any other form of photography that you do. These advanced composition techniques will help you to see the world differently and notice potential photo opportunities before they happen.
When’s the next workshop
We haven’t scheduled a new workshop just yet. Stay tuned we’ll have one soon.
